My Gorilla
In school I made a Gorilla mask out of paper mache! We had to bring in toilet paper and rip it into tiny little pinky nail sized pieces! Then we mixed it into glue and squished it around. It was hard to try and get a good face shape for it. After we made our gorilla's we painted them so they look more realistic. Now they hang on the class wall!!!!
My Tiger Clay Mask
This is my tiger clay mask! The process was very basic because the only hard part was making slip so that none of the ears would fall off! Slip is when you use a tooth pick like tool to lightly draw crossed lines, then you rub on a little water and cross more! once you have your slip made all you have to do is stick you clay together!! we had lots of different types of different tools for different things like cutting and shaping! I had lots of fun creating my mask!
This is my hand!! We had to trace our hand onto a scrape piece of paper and then choose 3 colours to make our design. The difficult part was to make sure you stopped your straight lines right at the pencil line where you traced your hand, or the allusion wouldn't work! I am proud of myself because I only had to re-start once!!
